Jazz drummer Amund Kleppan (b. 1996) released his debut album Venture in 2019 to international acclaim. With strong ties to his native Norway, he also tours regularly across Europe with Amund Kleppan Quintet, Aloft Quartet and other ensembles.

This year, Kleppan was selected as a competitor in the prestigious Jazzintro with Amund Kleppan Quartet, which will see him perform in Stavanger this October. He would have played at the legendary venues Ronnie Scotts in London, B-Flat in Berlin and Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen this spring, if it were not to covid-19. Alongside his professional work, Kleppan is currently undertaking studies at the Jazz Institute Berlin. He has performed with musicians such as Arild Andersen, Marius Neset, Trygve Seim and Marcin Wasilewski.

Amund Kleppan is endorsed by Canopus Drums and a proud holder of the Ian Fleming Instrumental Award 2021.
